Walk for Epilepsy Townsville

My Activity Tracking

500
kms

I'm fundraising for for those affected by Dravet syndrome, like my step son Harry who has been fighting this his whole life.

1 in 25 Australians will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime.

I am one of many taking on Townsville's 2.5km Walk for Epilepsy, raising funds and awareness to ensure people affected by epilepsy in north Queensland have access to the support, training, and information they need to live well with epilepsy.

2. A bit about Dravet Syndrome

Dravet syndrome is a rare form of intractable epilepsy that begins in infancy and proceeds with accumulating morbidity that significantly impacts individuals throughout their lifetime. Dravet syndrome has an estimated incidence rate of 1:15,700, with the majority of patients carrying a mutation in the sodium channel gene SCN1A.

Just saying hi

Wednesday 31st Aug
Im not very good at blogs.

But my family and I share just a little bit of our Harrys story.

We are a happy family, we try to live a good life for each other.
Harry loves his wiggles, mister maker, youtube music videos, cuddles, bubbles, playing with the ball, puzzles and stacking games.
He is always up for games and has endless energy to ensure he can keep playing 😀😀
