Gather & Grow Festival – Fundraising for Epilepsy Queensland

Gather & Grow is an emerging music festival built around community, creativity and genuine inclusion. Featuring six Australian acts, the festival celebrates connection through live music while recognising the importance of creating a space where everyone feels safe and welcome.

As the organiser of Gather & Grow, I live with epilepsy, and lighting is a trigger for me. I know firsthand how challenging and limiting it can be to attend live shows when accessibility needs aren’t considered. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I want to ensure that people with epilepsy- or any sensory sensitivities- can experience the joy of live performance without fear or hesitation.

This year, Gather & Grow is fundraising for Epilepsy Queensland to help support their essential work in advocacy, education and improving the lives of people living with epilepsy. Alongside fundraising, we’re implementing practical accessibility measures at the festival to reduce lighting triggers and create a safer, more inclusive environment for everyone.
