I am one of many taking on Townsville's 2.5km Walk for Epilepsy, raising funds and awareness to ensure people affected by epilepsy in north Queensland have access to the support, training, and information they need to live well with epilepsy.

Monday 29th Aug I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 40. It was a huge shock to have to make big changes in my life, like having someone stay with me all the time to make sure I wasn't alone if I did have more seizures, having my licence taken off me and having to take all kinds of different medications to try to find the right one to control the seizures.The journey is different for everyone diagnosed but this just my story.
