Join Purple Wiggle, Lachy Gillespie, and have your school community be Purple Heroes by taking on the Purple Schools Challenge!
The Purple Schools Challenge takes the form of a Purple Hero Day. It is completed by organising and hosting a day at your school filled with Purple Hero fun and awareness about epilepsy, as well as collecting donations for the cause. Teachers and students are asked to contribute a gold coin or $5 purple note donation on the day.
The day can incorporate a combination of various campaign activities of your school's choosing, including:
- Hero-themed dress
- A hero costume fashion parade
- A purple plush toy sale
- A purple grill
- The Purple Muck Challenge
- Organising Epilepsy guest speakers to attend
- Running epilepsy information sessions/lessons as part of the day.

Lachy Gillespie is an Australian children’s entertainer and current member of the Wiggles, wearing the purple skivvy.
Both Lachy's brother and niece have been faced the challenges of epilepsy, so he is super passionate about bringing joy and happiness into the lives of parents and children living with the condition.
Lachy is encouraging schools across the country to host a Purple Hero Day to show their support for the 270,000 people in Australia living with epilepsy.
